Warm Weather Concerns – Please read the following information before you order our Premium Sponge Candy

If your package is delivered to your house on a sunny summer afternoon (that would be 70 degrees and above) or is left sitting inside a hot porch or just left outside your front door – that could melt your candy!  Prolonged direct sunlight on your package, a hot delivery van, a hot warehouse or any number of warm circumstances may be more than it can take.  Typical weather conditions between early Fall or late Spring is NOT a problem for most of our customers - but there are much warm(er) places and more sunshine compared to our Buffalo, NY weather.  We appreciate the sunshine in Western New York but our candy does not!

Bella Mia Candy suggests either that you avoid ordering during any unseasonable warm weather and try to “time” the arrival of your chocolate order during a forecast cool period.  Also, consider a delivery to your work place as a good Plan “B”.  Commercial, business and office addresses often get their packages delivered early in the day.  Delivery to a business address helps your candy order get into “human hands” more quickly compared to sitting on your porch unattended while you are at work.  If you’d like a quick 5 day forecast for any Zip Code, try www.weather.com and enter the destination Zip Code.

Even though we take precautions when shipping your order, Bella Mia Candy cannot control Mother Nature.  Once your package leaves our location, we do NOT guarantee any chocolate products, shipped to warm weather destinations, from melting.  Please note that we DO offer Kold Packs that can be very helpful in keeping your order cool.  It helps – but is not always the perfect solution.  Sorry, but we cannot guarantee that your candy or chocolate items will always arrive intact.  We’re good but not perfect!  Kold Packs will only last a few days - so we will ship orders with Kold Packs on Mondays or Tuesdays, depending on the destination state.  In most cases, orders placed later in the week (the worst day you could pick would be Friday…) will not be shipped out until the following Monday.  Bella Mia Candy ships from Buffalo, New York and we will try to have your order arrive no later than Friday of the same week.

Bella Mia Candy cannot issue refunds for melted candy.  If you think the weather will be TOO HOT where you live, please delay your order until cooler temperatures arrive, or for those serious chocolate fanatics – just add more Kold Packs.  For a couple of $$bucks, you can help us get your order delivered to you in good condition.

Most of our warm weather customers live in sunny Florida, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico but the Post Office does a pretty darn good job getting your order delivered when you use their Priority or Express mail services.
