OUR LOCATION
We are located in the North Buffalo neighborhood, an active and vibrant business district defined by Hertel Avenue in Buffalo, NY. Buffalo is the 2nd largest city in New York State and is located in Erie County, NY adjacent to Canada, The Peace Bridge and the Niagara River. Canada can be conveniently accessed via the Peace Bridge.  If you are in the Western New York area, please visit our retail store - we sell a variety of homemade chocolate items, Sponge Candy, Retro Candy, Canadian Candy and other hard to find nostalgic candy, as well as Perry's Ice Cream products.  Our retail store is open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday & Saturdays.  The retail store is open from noon to 5:00 pm Sunday.

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal. For those wishing to pay by check or money order, you must place your order over the phone during normal business hours by calling our Sales Department at 716 - 447 - 0922.

SHIPPING POLICY

We believe that the U.S. Post Office delivery options offer real value for the money!  Therefore, if you do not need special handling or delivery or expedited service - please consider the various US Postal Service delivery options that are included in our shopping cart. If you really need all of the bells & whistles, and are willing to pay for them - then UPS offers excellent shipping options. We have recently deleted the UPS shipping option from our shopping cart real-time rate calculator.  All shipping charges will be displayed prior to final check out. Most orders are processed and shipped within two business days. If you need special handling or need your order to arrive by a specific date -?please call us after placing your order at 716 - 447 - 0922 so that we can arrange for any special shipping or handling requirements.

As most of use now know, fuel surcharges have been imposed by the major shipping and transportation companies. Escalating fuel prices alone are affecting every consumer and company. Free shipping may be offered by some of our competitors, but all businesses must recover their true costs of shipping & handling. We believe that charging fair and reasonable prices for our unique products, and passing the shipping charges directly to you with NO markups is the best business practice for the Bella Mia Candy Store. Although not every customer may agree with this practice, we believe that this is the most direct and simple business strategy that will give our customers the greatest choice of products, and allow us to remain in business over the long term. We will always stand behind the quality of our products and strive to provide the best customer service. We have many loyal customers who consistently return to our candy store - so we must be doing something right!

DELIVERY TIME
We strive to ship all orders from our store within 2 business days, however, the total number of days that it will take for your package to arrive at your destination is primarily determined by the shipping destination you enter. The Post Office will even deliver to a residential address on Saturday at no extra cost!

USERNAME AND PASSWORD
When you create a customer account at our web store, you will be able to take advantage of many features including review of past orders, a summary of previous visits by calendar date plus save time?on all future orders by creating a customer profile and account. You will also receive advance notice of seasonal sales or pre-Holiday discounts.

PHONE-IN/MAIL-IN ORDERS
Phone-in orders may be placed by calling Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. 

We do not charge an additional processing fee for orders mailed or called into our retail store.

WARM WEATHER SHIPMENTS
To help keep your candy cool in transit, please consider adding one or more reusable Kold Packs to your order. These remain cold for 2-3 days and are lined with a special moisture guard to reduce condensation. The Bella Mia Candy Store will not be responsible for melted candy that is shipped to warm weather destinations without a Polar Pack added to your order. If you have any questions, please call for additional information.  We will be happy to assist you in resolving any questions about potential damage in transit or packaging requirements.

WHOLE POUND QUANTITIES
When shopping at our web store, please remember that most items can be purchased in less than full box or case volumes while a lot of our bulk candy iems are sold by weight (half-pound, full pound, multi-pound quantities). The shopping cart will provide you with a drop down box when multiple weights are available for your selected item. Total weight and destination zip code are the primary determinants of shipping costs.

GIFT ORDERS
Many customers make special requests for our collectible metal lunch boxes to be filled with candy collections. If you order a lunch box - it is often cost effective to fill it a candy collection from the 1950s, the 1960s, the 1970s, etc. If you need to include a note card or want a special greeting for the person that will receive your package - just add a short note in the "Optional Comments" box before your final check out.  We will also include a handwritten gift card inside any item with your personal message.  Little things make all of the difference - especially when it is someone's birthday or anniversary!  There is no extra charge for this service.

APO/FPO ORDERS / CANADA Destinations
At this time, we do not deliver to APO / FPO addresses or destinations in Canada.

SALES TAX
We only charge for sales tax for shipments to New York State destinations. Since there is some variation in sales tax by county in New York - we have decided to simplify your life by charging a flat rate of 8 percent. The Bella Mia Candy Store will make up any shortfall when we send in our quarterly Sales Tax forms to the NYS Sales Tax Dept. Consider any difference to be a gift from us to YOU!.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Shopping at our web store is safe and secure. Your order is processed using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, none of our customers have reported any credit card fraud as a result of placing orders with us. For added security, we do not store your credit card number in our database. Your credit card information will only be used to process the current transaction.

PRIVACY STATEMENT
As part of our commitment to your privacy, the Bella Mia Candy Store does not share personally identifiable information, e-mail addresses and phone numbers with other marketers.
